CCMASTER ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension designed to customize the appearance of closed captions and subtitles on video streaming platforms. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Data Collection

CCMASTER does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or user activity.

The Extension operates entirely locally within your browser. We do not have servers, analytics systems, or any mechanism to collect information about you or your usage.

3. Local Storage Usage

CCMASTER stores only your visual customization preferences locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API. This includes:

Subtitle font family and size preferences
Text color, opacity, and styling options (bold, italic, outline)
Background color, opacity, padding, and border radius settings
Layout preferences (width, line spacing, positioning)
Selected preset theme (if any)

Important: These settings are stored using Chrome's storage.sync API, which means they may automatically sync across your devices if you're signed into Chrome with sync enabled. This synchronization is handled entirely by Google Chrome and follows Google's privacy policies. CCMASTER does not access or control this synchronization process beyond storing the settings.

4. Permissions Explanation

CCMASTER requests the following permissions to function properly:

Storage Permission

Required to save your subtitle customization preferences locally in your browser so they persist across browsing sessions. No data leaves your device through this permission.

Host Permissions (youtube.com, netflix.com, looktv.mn, playmax.mn, twitch.tv)

Required to inject custom CSS styling into video player pages to modify subtitle appearance in real-time. The Extension only modifies subtitle display styles and does not read, collect, or transmit any content, cookies, or data from these websites.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

CCMASTER does NOT:

Share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties
Use analytics or tracking services
Include advertisements or third-party scripts
Communicate with external servers
Monitor your browsing activity or video viewing habits

6. Data Security

All customization preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API. Since no data is transmitted to external servers or third parties, your settings remain private and under your control. You can clear all stored settings at any time by resetting the Extension or removing it from Chrome.

7. User Rights

You have complete control over your data:

Access: Your settings are visible within the Extension popup interface
Modify: Change any settings at any time through the Extension
Delete: Use the "Reset to Defaults" button or uninstall the Extension to remove all stored data

8. Children's Privacy

CCMASTER does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The Extension can be safely used by individuals of all ages.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Extension or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

10. Open Source

CCMASTER's code may be reviewed to verify these privacy claims. The Extension contains no obfuscated code, external API calls, or hidden functionality.
